What you may do with the data you buy from us, what we promise, and what we do not.
These terms govern your purchase and use of hand-history data and related services from HHDealer. By placing an order, downloading a delivery or using this website you accept them. If you are ordering for a company or institution, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf.
Where we have signed a separate written agreement or data licence with you, that agreement takes precedence over these terms wherever the two differ.
References to “we”, “us” and “HHDealer” mean the operator of HHDealer.com.
We supply historical poker hand histories collected from public tables at online poker rooms (“datamining”). Data is delivered as compressed hand-history text files in each poker client’s native format, organised by room, game type, structure, stake and date.
Hand counts shown on the site, in quotations and in coverage tables are deduplicated — each unique hand is counted once. Counts for periods held in our archives rather than our indexed database are estimates, and are confirmed exactly on extraction before invoicing.
Hand histories contain the screen names recorded by the poker client. We do not anonymise or aggregate the files. Section 10 sets out what that means for you.
On payment in full we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence to use the delivered data for your own analysis, research, training and product development.

You may not:
A licence granted for a specific purpose or project covers that purpose. If your use changes materially — for example from private research to a commercial product for resale — contact us and we will agree an addendum.
Prices are shown on the site or in a written quotation. Quotations are valid for the period stated on them and, where they cover archived material, are subject to the exact counts confirmed on extraction.
Payment is taken through third-party payment providers. We do not receive or store your full card details. Orders are processed once payment has cleared.
Prices are exclusive of any taxes or duties that may apply in your country; you are responsible for those.
Data is delivered electronically. You receive a manifest or hand-count summary with each delivery so you can verify what you received.
If files are missing, duplicated or malformed, tell us and we will re-deliver them at no charge. See the Refund Policy for when a refund applies instead.
Datamining depends on the poker operators’ software and policies, which change without notice. Collection for a room can be interrupted, reduced or stopped entirely, and gaps can occur.
We publish the coverage we actually hold, including gaps, and we will tell you about known interruptions affecting your scope before you order. We do not warrant that any room, stake or period will continue to be collected in future.
You agree not to:
HHDealer is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or otherwise connected to any poker room, network or operator, and any trade marks referred to on this site belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the data we supply.
Your use of any poker operator’s software or services remains governed by that operator’s own terms. It is your responsibility to check whether using third-party data is permitted where you play or work.
Read this if you are in the UK, EU or another territory with data-protection law. Hand histories contain the screen names players use at the table and a record of how they played. They do not contain legal names or account details. A screen name is nonetheless a persistent identifier for an individual, so the files are best treated as pseudonymous data rather than anonymous data.
Once we deliver the files to you, you decide how they are used, and you take on responsibility for handling them lawfully — including having a valid basis for processing them, keeping them secure, honouring requests from individuals whose data they contain, and not using them to target, harass or de-anonymise individuals outside your stated purpose.
If you receive a request from an individual relating to data we supplied, tell us and we will help. Our own handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
We supply the data with reasonable care and skill, and we stand behind what we quote: if a delivery does not match the scope you paid for, we correct it or refund it.
Beyond that, the data is supplied “as is”. We do not warrant that it is complete, uninterrupted, free of errors introduced by the poker client, or fit for any particular purpose you have not told us about.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or losses arising from decisions you take based on the data. Our total liability in connection with an order will not exceed the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
We may suspend or close an account, and revoke a licence, if these terms are breached — in particular the redistribution restriction in section 4. Where a licence is revoked for breach, no refund is due.
We may update these terms. Changes apply from the date they are posted and do not apply retrospectively to orders already placed. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
